The United States has delivered military equipment to Nigerian security agencies to support ongoing security operations across different parts of the country.
The United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) confirmed the development in a post on X on Tuesday, 13 January, stating:
“U.S. forces delivered critical military supplies to our Nigerian partners in Abuja. This delivery supports Nigeria’s ongoing operations and underscores our shared security partnership.”
The Federal Government has also noted that the U.S. government has assured Nigeria of its readiness to deepen security cooperation and strengthen joint counter-terrorism efforts.
