Onuachu Fires Past Osimhen to Win Turkish Süper Lig Golden Boot

Paul Onuachu has been crowned the Turkish Süper Lig top scorer for the 2025/2026 season after an outstanding campaign with Trabzonspor.

The Nigerian striker finished the season with 22 league goals, beating fellow Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen and other top forwards to claim the prestigious Golden Boot award.

Onuachu delivered consistent performances throughout the season, becoming one of Trabzonspor’s most reliable players with his clinical finishing, aerial dominance, and ability to score in crucial matches.

The former Genk forward maintained his lead in the scoring charts during the final weeks of the campaign, eventually finishing ahead of İstanbul Başakşehir’s Eldor Shomurodov and Fenerbahçe’s Anderson Talisca.

Victor Osimhen, who arrived in Turkey as one of the league’s biggest signings, ended the season with 15 league goals for Galatasaray despite several impactful displays.

Onuachu’s remarkable form has further strengthened his reputation in Turkish football following his impressive return to the Süper Lig, where he quickly re-established himself as one of the most dangerous strikers in the division.
