Dharmendra, one of Bollywood’s most iconic actors, has died at the age of 89. Known as the He Man of Indian cinema, he was celebrated for his versatile roles in action, romance, and comedy films, and for his charismatic screen presence that earned him fans worldwide.
The actor, who would have turned 90 on 8 December, had been in and out of hospital in Mumbai in recent weeks. His death was confirmed on Monday by a senior police official.
